When 90210, the beloved ’90s teen soap, relaunched last fall, it was treated like chum by critics and media sharks. Only now, in its second season, is the show living up to its hype, stepping out from the shadow of Shannen and Tori, and embracing a lighter, frothier high school experience. Leading the charge is Jessica Stroup, the 23-year-old actress who plays the bipolar Erin Silver, Kelly Taylor’s half-sister.
Stroup, who skipped out on her own high school graduation to film a Target commercial (“In my mind, I was so cool,” she says), moved from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Los Angeles when she was 17 years old. “When I came out here,” she says, “I was a baby. I was kind of naïve and just going with it.”
Luckily, innocence is a trait directors admire, especially when it comes to horror flicks. In the last few years, Stroup has stretched her vocal cords, filling cinemas with her high-pitched screams in Prom Night, The Hills Have Eyes 2 and Homecoming (not to mention Bret Easton Ellis’ unintentionally horrifying The Informers). Although she has enjoyed the scary movie experience, she perks up as soon as the conversation turns to future roles. “A dark comedy,” she says, when asked what she’d like to do next. “Being funny. That’s the most terrifying thing for me.”

TheCW will air a new episode of 90210 on December 8 and then will go on hiatus for the holidays. We have promo photos and a synopsis for you below. I'm seriously not digging Annie's dress. It's so plain. And what's up with Ivy's white outfit? Would it kill her to put on a dress? All that side, the synopsis makes it seem like some big secrets will come out and let's hope that's true. I'm tired of the Jen-Liam secret being dragged out. I would rather see Naomi bitch-slap her sister.

Navid (Michael Steger) is convinced Jasper (guest star Zach Sherman) pushed him down the stairs and turns to Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) to help reveal the information. Annie (Shenae Grimes) is confronted by her friends about Jasper’s drug dealing but when she confronts him about the news he reveals his suspicions about her involvement in the hit and run.

They’re always up for a publicity opportunity, and last night (November 18) the ladies of “90210” were spotted living it up at the GQ Men of the Year Party.
Shenae Grimes arrived at the Chateau Marmont looking fine in a strapless black dress with a blinging necklace and matching heels.
Meanwhile, Jessica Stroup made her entrance looking leggy in a black top/black blazer/gold shorts combo with black mesh heels.
And AnnaLynne McCord kept things simple with a classic black minidress with black peep-toe heels and a big smile.

The ladies of "90210” are definitely taking a beating this season. Naomi is being conned by her sister. Adrianna is a druggie again. And Annie is dating Ade’s greasy, knife-wielding drug dealer. Yet the only one I really feel sorry for is Silver. She’s the only girl who has been dealt a blow that was totally out of control. Her mother, Jackie (Ann Gillespie), is dying of cancer.
“This wasn’t something that she asked for,” says Jessica Stroup, who plays Erin Silver on the CW show. “This wasn’t something she was ready for, but she’s going to do the best she can with it.”
